Biography
Dr. Jamie Adam is a Professor of Nursing at Belmont University with more than 20 years of experience in nursing education, clinical practice, and service to vulnerable populations. She teaches Pharmacology in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and coordinates What’s Your Why?, an interprofessional course focused on helping students explore purpose, calling, and vocation. Dr. Adam has a deep interest in formation and flourishing and is passionate about cultivating nurses who are not only clinically competent, but also compassionate, resilient, culturally responsive, and grounded in a sense of purpose.
Dr. Adam is actively involved with Belmont University’s Flourish mobile clinic, providing healthcare services and support to individuals experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations. She also co-leads an annual interprofessional medical mission to Guatemala, where students and faculty provide health screenings, therapies, health education, and compassionate care to underserved communities.
Through her teaching, clinical practice, community engagement, and work in formation, Dr. Adam is committed to developing future nurses who are prepared to serve others with excellence, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. Her work reflects a commitment to the flourishing of both students and the communities they are called to serve.
