Jennifer Chesak is an adjunct instructor who teaches in the publishing and journalism programs at Belmont. She earned her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School and draws on more than two decades of experience as a journalist and editor across the fields of broadcast, print, and online. She is an author and a freelance medical journalist, editor, and fact-checker with bylines in several national publications, including the Washington Post. Her first nonfiction book published in 2023. Chesak also serves on the Medical Integrity Team at Healthline. In addition to reporting and writing, she works as a freelance manuscript editor, is the managing editor for the literary magazine SHIFT, and teaches writing workshops for The Porch, a literary nonprofit.
