Biography
Dr. Lauren Rickman is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Belmont University, where she teaches across undergraduate nursing courses and integrates her expertise in clinical simulation and evidence-based education. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Belmont University in 2022, completing a scholarly project on Psychological Safety in Pre-Licensure Nursing Simulation.
With over 17 years of experience as a registered nurse in emergency and rehabilitation settings, Dr. Rickman brings extensive bedside expertise into the classroom and simulation lab. She has presented nationally and internationally on simulation, clinical judgment, and student learning, including podium and poster presentations at the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning and the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare.
Her academic and clinical practice are grounded in a commitment to fostering safe, supportive learning environments that prepare future nurses to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.
