Biography

Linda Harmon is an Adjunct Instructor of Music at Belmont University.  A member of the faculty since 1987, she teaches both private and class piano.  Mrs. Harmon earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Belmont University and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Western Kentucky University. She was on the piano faculty at Western Kentucky before coming to Belmont.

Mrs. Harmon is currently the accompanist for The Concert Chorale of Nashville. For several years she performed chamber music with The Trillium Trio.  Their performances included Recital Hall, a local PBS production, Live in Studio C, a local NPR program, the MTNA National Convention, Cumberland County Playhouse, the Tennessee Governor’s Mansion, and The Renaissance Center.

She has been a church pianist/music associate in the Nashville area and has worked extensively with preschool and children’s choirs.  In addition, she is Vice President of The Music Library, a company offering one of the world’s largest listings of choral and instrumental music for resale by churches, schools, and community choirs.

Mrs. Harmon is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda National Honor Society and Sigma Alpha Iota.  She is the faculty advisor for Epsilon Lambda chapter of SAI at Belmont.
