Biography

Dr. Allen-Slaba hails from a small town in the Pacific Northwest, he completed his medical education at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, followed by residency training in general psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Since then, he has worked as an inpatient psychiatrist at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, where he cares for patients with high-acuity psychiatric needs and provides electroconvulsive therapy. Throughout his training and clinical practice, Dr. Allen-Slaba has been actively involved in medical education, working closely with residents and medical students—a role he considers one of the most rewarding aspects of his career.

As Clerkship Director, he is dedicated to combining his passion for psychiatry with his commitment to teaching. He looks forward to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that will help guide the next generation of physicians as they explore the essential role of psychiatry in medicine.
