Biography

Dr. Rachel Marquart is an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Gordon E. Inman College of Nursing at Belmont University. A Certified Pediatric Nurse, she teaches in the undergraduate program with a focus on student learning and professional development in clinical, simulation, and lab settings. She is passionate about helping students build confidence and competence through hands-on, evidence-based instruction.

Her scholarly interests include program evaluation in nursing education, clinical educator development, and the use of simulation and artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice project evaluated an online clinical nurse educator training program and continues to inform her work in advancing clinical teaching effectiveness. Dr. Marquart serves on the Center for Nursing Innovation operations committee and contributes to interdisciplinary simulation initiatives that foster collaborative, high-impact learning in healthcare education.

She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belmont University and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In addition to her teaching and scholarship, she serves as faculty advisor for Belmont’s Nurses Christian Fellowship chapter and is committed to mentoring students in both their professional and spiritual growth.
