Sandy Dowling

Mrs. Dowling joined Belmont University in 2016 as Assistant to the Dean of Gordon E. Inman College of Health Sciences and Nursing and moved to her current role of College Coordinator and Assistant to the Dean when the School of Nursing became the Gordon E. Inman College of Nursing in summer of 2023. Her degree in business led her to a career in the business world for a number of years, shifting to adjunct teaching adult basic education and English as a second language after completion of homeschooling her children. She then returned to executive assistant positions in K-12 education and then higher ed. When she is not working, Mrs. Dowling enjoys church activities, hiking and all things craft-oriented.

Mrs. Dowling supports the dean and leadership team of the college as well as works closely with college staff to ensure training, efficiency and cohesiveness within the team. She also oversees faculty onboarding and facilities coordination.
