Biography
Stephen has worked in Hollywood for over 20 years. He moved from Los Angeles to Nashville seven years ago to help produce the TV show Nashville for ABC, CMT, and Hulu. He's written multiple scripts for Robbie Brenner (producer of Barbie), David Heyman (producer of Harry Potter, Gravity), Blumhouse Productions, and worked with directors Callie Khouri, Spike Lee, and Argentinian filmmaker Fina Torres. His scripts have been performed by actors including Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone, Minnie Driver, and more.
In TV, Stephen worked on NBC's Homicide: Life on the Street and HBO's Oz. On Nashville, Stephen produced crossover episodes with The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Good Morning America, and the show's brand integration with Budweiser and Coca-Cola.
In film, Stephen has written original screenplays, adapted books, and doctored scripts for projects at Miramax, Sony, Fox, Paramount Pictures, and independent financiers. He is represented by Paradigm Agency in Los Angeles and Writ-Large Management. Stephen began his career working with Academy Award-winning director and screenwriter Barry Levinson. He wrote scenes and acted in Warner Brothers films Disclosure (starring Demi Moore, Michael Douglas) and Sleepers (starring Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, and Kevin Bacon). During this time, Stephen adapted his first screenplay based on Michael Crichton’s novel Sphere for Warner Brothers. The film, directed by Mr. Levinson, starred Dustin Hoffman and Samuel L. Jackson. Currently, Stephen's screenplay Manners of Madness is in pre-production at Keith David's production company.
