Biography
Tom Lasley is a Regional Director for the Advice and Planning Group, with over 30 years of experience in wealth management. He is responsible for leading a team of Wealth Strategists serving the Southeast, Central & Western Divisions, assisting high net-worth families with a wide variety of wealth planning needs, including wealth transfer planning, income tax planning, asset protection, cash flow planning, and philanthropy.
Tom has extensive experience working with ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices. He has previously practiced law as an estate planning attorney, advising clients on matters involving estates and trusts, income taxes, business succession, charitable giving, and asset protection. Tom has also worked at a Nashville CPA firm and as a Trust Tax Manager at another financial institution. Just prior to his current role, Tom served as a Senior Wealth Strategist at Truist, assisting ultra-high-net-worth families with a wide variety of wealth management needs.
Tom is a graduate of Duke University where he received his A.B., the University of Georgia where he received his Juris Doctor, and the University of Alabama where he received his LL.M. Taxation.

Personal Interests
Tom is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association. He serves on the board of Safe Haven Family Shelter. He is a certified CPR and First Aid instructor, and a SCUBA instructor. Tom is also on the faculty of the American Bankers Association Wealth & Trust Schools.
Tom and his wife Michelle live in Brentwood, Tennessee, and have two grown children. Tom serves as an elder at the Woodmont Hills Church and is active in the Children’s Ministry there.
