Biography
Walt Bieschke joined Belmont University’s Center for Interprofessional Engagement & Simulation in November 2024 as Assistant Director of Interprofessional Engagement. In his role with the Interprofessional Education Program (IPE), Walt provides project management, curricular development, budget planning and fiscal controls, and building collaborative partnerships among interdisciplinary teams. With 25-plus years of experience in higher education administration, and previous roles including Associate Director of Graduate Admissions at Vanderbilt University, Walt brings a background in strategic planning and communication, faculty and staff training program development, and leading and contributing to interdisciplinary teams in academia. He holds a BA in Journalism/English minor from Marquette University and an MBA from Western Governors University.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Nashville in 1997 and claims The Music City as his second hometown. Walt is passionate about process improvement, strategic communications, and exploring innovative ways to foster interprofessional collaboration and education. Among his other passions are writing songs and fiction, practicing martial arts, and spending time with family and friends.
