Dr. La Kiesha Armstrong

Dr. La Kiesha D. Armstrong has been an integral member of the Belmont University community for over 20 years and currently serves as Vice Provost for Academic Excellence. In this role, she leads key areas related to academic affairs and engages as a liaison for university-wide initiatives that align with the institution’s mission and values. Dr. Armstrong promotes the work of leaders in Student Success and Flourishing, the Office of the Registrar, and Academic Assessment, fostering an inclusive environment that empowers students to achieve their academic and personal goals through strategic support, collaboration, and innovative programming.

Dr. Erich Baker currently serves Belmont as the Vice Provost for Research and Strategic Initiatives and Professor of Computer Science. As a former Department Chair and Dean at Baylor University, Erich brings more than 22 years of experience in research and academic administration to Belmont to support the future growth of Belmont’s vibrant mission.
