Belmont University’s literary arts magazine, “Belmont Story Review,” published its eighth annual issue, “Belmont Story Review Volume 8: Kinship,” a collection of fiction and poetry. In these pieces, writers examine the multitudes of family — dynamic relationships that are both messy and beautiful — with honesty and insight.
Established in 2016, “Belmont Story Review” aims to surprise and delight readers through an eclectic mix of storytelling including fiction, personal essay, poetry, songwriting, drama, graphic narrative, photography, as well as creative reportage including music, film, creativity and collaboration, faith and culture. BSR seeks to publish new and established writers who are passionate about their craft, fearlessly engaging with difficult ideas and exploring the human experience in a changing world.
The magazine is produced through the University's publishing program — one of the nation's only undergraduate majors in publishing — and recently ranked as a top program by College Magazine. Founded by former program director Richard Sowienski, BSR is now managed by current program director Sara Wigal and run by a staff of undergraduate students.
“Belmont Story Review Volume 8: Kinship” is available for purchase online at bookshop.org and Amazon, and in person by request.
