Belmont University has once again earned recognition in Military Times' Best for Vets: Colleges rankings for 2024, demonstrating the Institution's ongoing dedication to serving military veterans and their families. This prestigious acknowledgment follows the University's VETS Campus designation received from the state of Tennessee in late 2023, further solidifying Belmont's position as a leader in veteran education.
"This continued recognition from Military Times reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting our veteran and military-affiliated students," said Dr. Greg Jones, Belmont University President. "We are honored to create an environment where those who have served our country can thrive academically and professionally."
The Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges rankings are determined through a comprehensive evaluation of veteran and military student services and rates of academic achievement. The rankings stand as the largest and most comprehensive annual ranking of schools for military service members and veterans.
Belmont University serves over 330 active duty, veteran and military-affiliated students across its various academic programs. The University's commitment to veteran education is demonstrated through specialized support services, dedicated resources and programs designed to ease the transition from military service to academic life.
Kim Powell, assistant director for Interdisciplinary Studies & Global Education at Belmont, emphasized the significance of this recognition: "Being ranked again as a Best for Vets College by Military Times validates our ongoing efforts to create an inclusive and supportive environment for our military-affiliated students. This recognition encourages us to continue enhancing our services and support for this vital part of our campus community."
