Belmont Announces Reduced Tuition for Adult Degree Programs, Starting Summer 2025

February 3, 2025 | by April Hefner

University Committed to Making Higher Education More Accessible for Adult Learners

Belmont University is excited to announce a reduction in tuition for its Adult Degree Programs, effective Summer 2025. This initiative aims to provide more adult learners with the opportunity to complete their degrees and advance in today’s competitive job market.

As part of Belmont's ongoing commitment to empowering working adults, the reduced tuition — now a 31% decrease to $600 per credit hour — will make it more financially feasible for individuals to return to school, complete their education and achieve their career goals. The initiative reflects Belmont’s dedication to creating accessible pathways to higher education for all, especially for non-traditional students balancing work, family and academic responsibilities.

“At Belmont, we believe education should be within reach for everyone, regardless of where they are in life,” said Dr. Jim McIntyre, assistant provost for academic excellence. “Our adult learners bring unique perspectives and experiences to the classroom, and we want to ensure they have every opportunity to succeed. This tuition reduction is part of our broader effort to support them in completing their degrees and pursuing their professional aspirations.”

Belmont’s Adult Degree Programs are designed for working adults seeking flexible options to complete undergraduate degrees. These programs offer various formats — including evening, online and hybrid courses — providing the flexibility needed to accommodate busy schedules. The University offers an array of Adult Degree Programs, including majors in Accounting, Architecture, Business, Elementary Education, Fashion Design, Ministry, Music Business, Social Work, among others.

In addition to reduced tuition, adult learners at Belmont will continue to benefit from personalized support, including career services, academic advising and a dedicated community of peers and faculty who understand the challenges adult students face.
