Belmont University’s 2025 graduating class achieved a 97% career outcomes rate for the third consecutive year — the highest first-destination rate in University history. This figure represents graduates who are employed, pursuing further education or serving in the military within six months of graduation.

Additionally, 83% of graduates surveyed are employed in positions that align with their short- or long-term career goals, underscoring the value of a Belmont education in today’s competitive job market.

Students at graduation

“At Belmont, career readiness is intertwined with well-being and whole-person formation,” said Mary Claire Dismukes, director of career & professional development. “We seek to offer a holistic approach that equips students to explore interests, pursue purpose, develop career readiness skills and form meaningful relationships to ultimately achieve their career goals."

Of 2025 graduates, 86% are working in positions related to their degrees, continuing Belmont’s track record of preparing students for success in their chosen fields.

Belmont truly provided an experience where professors were invested in shaping both my present opportunities and my future career,” said class of 2025 alumna Lauren Merrill Lucas. “Support from Dr. Panvini and other fantastic Belmont professors encouraged me to pursue internships and research opportunities that led to a full-ride fellowship at Duke while pursuing my master’s degree. I am incredibly grateful for the career preparation I received at Belmont, which gave me the foundational skills to achieve success in graduate school and my field.”

Top employers for the class of 2025 include Vanderbilt University Medical Center, The Walt Disney Company, Ascension, Oracle, HCA Healthcare and Universal Music Group, reflecting career readiness across a wide range of industries and roles.

“Belmont prepared me, tangibly and intangibly, for the work I am called to do,” said 2025 alumna Kayleigh Reindl. “My courses sharpened my ability to think critically in ways that translated seamlessly to the workplace and helped me situate my work within a broader sense of purpose. Today, I'm in a job I love, feeling well equipped for the work before me and also with the confidence and curiosity to keep learning.”

Belmont remains dedicated to forming diverse leaders of character prepared to address complex problems with passion, integrity and hope. The success of the Class of 2025 reflects that ongoing commitment.

All figures were reported by Belmont University’s Career and Development Office in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ First Destination Survey.
