The College of Music & Performing Arts offers leadership opportunities through pre-professional organizations such as:
- The Dean's Advisory Council
- The Belmont Repertory Company
- Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, Epsilon Eta Chapter
Within this organization, students will develop a relationship with others who will be in their professional field in the future. BAMTAS will provide an outlet for students to share song ideas, interventions, teaching ideas, study groups, practicum advice, and support while applying for internships.
The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) is proud to introduce to the association’s members and the wider music education community a new Strategic Plan that will move the association and the music education profession forward in an intentionally progressive direction to ensure students from all walks of life, identities, backgrounds, and needs receive equitable access to music education.
The American Choral Directors Association is a nonprofit music-education organization that is dedicated to the advancement of choral music, teaching, and performance. The association was founded in 1959 by a group of 35 choral conductors from around the United States. The mission of the organization is to inspire excellence in choral music throughout education, performance, composition, and advocacy. Anyone is welcome!!
The Belmont University chapter (Kappa Omicron chapter) of Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society is an American honor society for participants in collegiate theatre.
The purpose of this chapter, the Kappa Omicron Cast of Alpha Psi Omega Theater Honor Society, is to stimulate interest in theater activities at Belmont University and to secure all the advantages and mutual helpfulness provided by a large national honor society.
The Object of this Fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit, the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students, the advancement of music in America and a loyalty to the Alma Mater.
Sigma Alpha Iota is a sisterhood of women with a sincere interest in music. Members of SAI are active in all areas of campus music and campus life, working closely with faculty, administration, campus and community groups, music professionals and patrons. In addition to personal encouragement and support, members may receive scholarships, loans and awards in many areas and at all levels of music-related study. Sigma Alpha Iota has long been recognized as a leader in the field of music and provides a lifetime of fraternity contact.
