Andrea Waitt Carlton Family Foundation Lecture Series

Belmont Speaker Series

The Andrea Waitt Carlton Family Foundation focuses on providing support for four major areas:

  1. Environmental concerns, with emphasis on programs that strive to preserve the land and educated our children on the importance of protecting and caring for our natural heritage
  2. Animal welfare, with emphasis on the protection and humane treatment of both wild and domestic animals
  3. Social concerns, with emphasis on helping Native Americans help themselves
  4. The fine arts, with emphasis on renovation of the visual and performing arts  
At Belmont University the Foundation supports compelling speakers who forward the mission of the university. Recently, the Foundation has hosted Rev. Greg Laurie from the film The Jesus Revolution; Writer and speaker Richard Reeves, who wrote the book Of Boys and Men; Lawyer Kelly Shackelford, who has won nine cases about religious liberty at the Supreme Court; Sociologist Brad Wilcox, who is the Director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia.
