Belmont is taking part in a pencil drive in support of the PENCIL Foundation, an organization supporting Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools by providing free school supplies for teachers. Please donate pencils at the Foutch Alumni House or the Office of Service Learning (JAAC 1014) during February. On Mission Monday, February 15, bring pencils to Harrington Place Dining Hall and only pay $5 dollars for your lunch, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Simmons Distinguished Faculty Lecture was created in 1983 by Dean Robert Simmons, who was a visionary academic leader and strong supporter of the liberal arts at Belmont University. After Dean Simmons’ death in 1988, the lectureship was named in his honor. This year's honoree and presenter is professor of English, Dr. Annette Sisson.
