The Office for University Missional Initiatives at Belmont connects, equips and strengthens programs across campus which nurture engagement with Belmont’s ecumenical, Christ-centered identity, mission and vision and SOUL framework.

This dynamic network of offices and initiatives engages students, staff, faculty and external partners by exploring the rich intersections of spiritual and cultural wellness, promoting love of God and neighbor and inviting prayerful engagement with the Peace Prayer “Lord, Make Us Instruments of Your Peace.”
The Office of University Missional Initiatives is led by Dr. John Witvliet, who serves as Chief Officer for University Missional Initiatives and as Professor of Theology, Worship & the Arts
