A Unique Fall Break Mission Experience in Nashville

Plunge 2024: Nashville
October 11-14, 2024

Plunge is a four-day Fall Break mission trip right here in Nashville that is designed for first-year students. This experience is an incredible way to see our city while learning and serving with multiple local ministries. It's also a great way to get to know other new students during your first semester at Belmont.

Food & Lodging
Students stay in their own rooms during Plunge. Some meals will be eaten in the Dining Hall, and others will be catered in from some of Nashville's best local restaurants.

Who leads Plunge?
Plunge is led by the University Ministries staff and student leaders (SLAs), as well as other faculty/staff volunteers.

Do you have to be a Christian to participate?
No! While we do want to be transparent that our mission experiences are offered to create an opportunity for students to participate in God’s work in the world, we welcome all students, regardless of their faith commitments, to sign up and participate in making a difference in our world. Plunge will include opportunities for reflection on faith, theology, and mission throughout the trip, but no one is required to lead or participate in any religious activity with which they are uncomfortable.

How much does Plunge cost?
Thanks to the generosity of donors to our Missions Endowment, the cost of Plunge is just $150 per student.

How do I sign up?
Registration for Plunge opens during Summer Orientation. Our staff will provide more details at the opening session for parents and students, and we will be available to answer questions throughout the day.
