Throughout my time as a Presidential Fellow, I encountered countless inspiring individuals and conversations that left a lasting impression on me. One that particularly resonated with me was with Kim Tan. His expertise and insights were eye-opening, and the discussions we had in between Hope Summit events have stayed with me since. Currently, I am working with the Belmont Innovation Labs as a Project Manager where a lot of my work has been around the Innovation Labs’ collaboration with the state of Tennessee creating initiatives for youth transitioning out of foster care. The stakeholder management skills I developed, the relationships I built, and the institutional knowledge I gained through the fellowship have been instrumental to the success of the team I’m now a part of. I will always be grateful for the fellowship, as it connected me with a number of mentors and provided me with the confidence to navigate my transition into this startup environment.
