Biography

Amy began working at Belmont in 2016 and has over 20 years of experience as an adult critical care bedside nurse. Her  research focuses on the self-efficacy and coping abilities of nursing students through a trauma-informed framework, and she recently co-authored an article describing nursing students' distress and coping behaviors. Most recently, she has been appointed by Mayor John Cooper to serve on the Human Relations Commission for the city of Nashville. She continues her advocacy efforts with local non-profit organizations in Nashville and globally in Tanzania and Uganda.
