Biography

Caleb Dean is the Program Assistant for the Audio Engineering Technology, Music Business, and Songwriting departments in the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business.

Originally from East Tennessee, Caleb came to the Nashville area in 2023 to be a part of a local church community and joined the Curb College at Belmont University in 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Carson-Newman University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Southeastern University.

Caleb came to Belmont from another university in Tennessee, with higher education administration experience in university-wide academic affairs, accreditation, and internal programmatic and faculty assessment. He is grateful for this background in providing direct support to the Curb College faculty and the university at large.

Passionate about the arts, Caleb has extensive background in vocal/choral performance, worship leadership, theatre, and dance. This includes the honor of having been selected an All-State choral performer as a first tenor in the state of Tennessee in 2014, as well as touring locally and regionally with an advanced level collegiate choir in 2015. He also had the honor of teaching interpretive movement for worship at a local arts school in East Tennessee from 2021-2023.

Caleb has a particular passion for the Christian and worship music genres, as well as the incorporation of the arts in Christian worship to facilitate spaces for people to encounter and be inspired by the divine. Forever an advocate of the power and ability of the arts and entertainment to shape and inspire people and culture, he is honored to be a part of the Curb College and further its ongoing goal to be the leading entertainment college in the world and remain the standard for entertainment education.
