Biography

(she/her)

Degree/Training: PhD in Counseling Psychology - Tennessee State University (Nashville, TN); MS in Juvenile Forensic Psychology - Prairie View A&M University (Prairie View, TX); BS in Psychology - University of Tennessee @ Chattanooga (Chattanooga, TN).

Approach to Therapy: I approach therapy with a focus on uncovering strengths, building resilience, and increasing insight. I truly enjoy exploring the dynamics within families and relationships, as well as supporting individuals in their journey of self-discovery and navigating emerging adulthood. My therapeutic framework integrates Interpersonal Process Therapy and Narrative Therapy to explore how personal narratives and relational patterns shape one's experiences and well-being. Additionally, my interest in neuropsychology and educational training allows me to provide a comprehensive understanding of psychopathology.

Favorite Way to Destress: My favorite way to destress is taking long walks (with an occasional run) while listening to music.

Favorite Place to Unwind: When I need to unwind, I often find myself in Fit Rec shooting around in the gym during lunch and sometimes between meeting with clients. I also enjoy reading under a tree near the large fountain in front of McWhorter (when it's not too hot out).
