Biography

Jackie Hayes is an accomplished audio and video production professional with a deep commitment to both industry excellence and fostering the next generation of talent. Being a local from California, Jackie relocated to Nashville to pursue a degree in Audio Engineering Technology with a minor in Video Production at Belmont University, where she graduated in 2015 after completing the program in just three years.

After graduating, Jackie quickly established herself in the production industry, contributing to high-profile projects such as CMT’s Nashville TV show, the Dave Tough series The Producers Room, and MV2 Entertainment. These experiences allowed her to refine her expertise in both audio engineering and video production, equipping her with the practical, real-world knowledge that would later benefit the students she now mentors.

In her current role as Manager of the Robert E. Mulloy Studios at Belmont, Jackie oversees state-of-the-art facilities that serve as a hub for the university’s audio program. This includes studio maintenance, class schedules, bookings, and tours for prospective students. She is responsible for ensuring the operation and maintenance of the studios, working closely with Belmont’s tech maintenance team to ensure all equipment is kept in optimal condition for both student and faculty use. A core component of Jackie’s role is her commitment to mentorship. She hires and supervises Belmont students who work as student engineers in the studios, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience in a professional production environment.

Jackie’s return to Belmont reflects her own journey from student to an industry professional where she continues to equip the next generation of audio engineers with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
