Biography
JoAnna Bentsen, MSN, RN, serves as a Simulation Educator at Belmont University's Center for Interprofessional Engagement and Simulation in Nashville, TN. With a BSN from University of Louisiana Monroe (2017) and a MSN in Nursing Education from Walden University (2023), JoAnna brings a passion for learning and simulation to the role. Her professional background includes experience in critical care nursing and critical care education. In her previous roles, JoAnna has developed interdisciplinary high-fidelity simulations and enjoyed partnering with colleagues to create events that foster team growth and performance.
In addition to simulation, JoAnna has a passion for teaching including content delivery, research, and nursing education. She enjoys interacting with the interdisciplinary faculty and creating engaging events for each learner. In her free time, JoAnna enjoys spending time outside visiting many of the parks around Nashville and frequently travels to visit family or explore new places.
