Biography

Kyla Ledes Lowder is a classically trained actor and director. After 8 years working in both theatre and film in Los Angeles, she returned to her roots in Nashville in 2021. She continues to perform locally while running an educational nonprofit and serving as an adjunct instructor at Belmont University.
Kyla is a Belmont undergraduate alum and received her M.F.A. from the University of Southern California. While in Los Angeles, she studied the Linklater Technique under Natsuko Ohama and explored Grotowski under Andrew Robinson. She is a firm believer in the power of the actor's instrument through breath and body work and aims to teach students how to embody and embolden their performances with honesty and bravery.
