Biography
Dr. Lauren Moore is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Belmont University and a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She brings extensive clinical experience in hematology and medical oncology, alongside a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring the next generation of nurses and advanced practice providers.
A cancer survivor herself, Dr. Moore’s personal journey has deeply shaped her professional path, fueling her passion for evidence-based, whole-person care and caregiver support. Her academic focus includes developing innovative, interdisciplinary programming in oncology and geriatrics, integrating clinical excellence with compassion and advocacy. She is currently involved in professional scholarship related to caregiver burden, geriatric oncology assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
In addition to her academic role, Dr. Moore continues to practice at Tennessee Oncology, where she specializes in the care of adults with complex cancer diagnoses.
Dr. Moore is dedicated to advancing nursing practice through student-centered education, collaborative leadership, and community-based care models aimed at improving outcomes for older adults and underserved populations.
