Biography
Madison Schaffer grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, just two hours away from Nashville. She came to Belmont University in 2019, pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Social Media Management. She is currently working on her Master of Science degree in Strategic Communication & Leadership at Belmont as well. Her plans are to continue her professional career working in higher education.
Madison began working on campus with various departments during her undergraduate years, including designing social media for Growth & Purpose for Students, aiding the Office of the Vice President of Development and External Relations, and also conducting research for Belmont’s 2024 Community Engagement Classification from Carnegie Foundation. She achieved the Universal Accreditation Board’s Principles of Public Relations Certificate. Additionally, Madison was honored with induction into Belmont’s chapters of Lambda Pi Eta and Omicron Delta Eta before graduation.
Madison is currently employed in the Mike Curb College of Music Business and Entertainment and is often the first contact when students have any questions about academic advising. She is a liaison between students and faculty and facilitates several administrative duties for students (e.g. major changes, advising resources, registration questions). She also serves as the advisor for Belmont’s chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Madison loves seeking out local coffee shops and antique stores. She enjoys reading historical fiction, listening to classic rock music, playing chess and trivia with friends, and attending all forms of local entertainment. In addition, she is an avid Nashville Predators fan.
