Biography

Rachel Zola is an experienced Senior Career Development Specialist with a passion for empowering and equipping students and alumni with the support and tools that they need to pursue careers of personal meaning and purpose in the entertainment industry. She has over ten years of experience in career coaching, recruiting, and consulting in the entertainment industry and has had the pleasure of working with students, professionals, and businesses in Nashville, Los Angeles and New York City.

In addition to her work in the Office of Career and Professional Development, Rachel is an active member of the Curb College. She has taught and continues to serve as a curriculum and faculty advisor for the MBU 2000 course, Career and Professional Development. She is also a member of the Curb College Scholarship Committee.

As a proud Belmont alum, Rachel has been honored to serve the university as a past Presidential Faculty Achievement Award Selection Committee Member (2015), an active member of the Young Alumni Council (2014-2017), and most recently as a Purpose Mentor (2022-2023).

Outside of Belmont, Rachel also seeks opportunities to give back to the greater entertainment industry. She previously served as the Director of Community Engagement for the Nashville chapter of the Young Entertainment Professionals (2016-2019) where she served on the board of YEP and was responsible for organizing monthly networking mixers for chapter members and industry guests. She has both moderated a panel for and has spoken as a panelist at MusicBiz, the annual conference for music industry professionals and she is currently a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Troubadour Society.

A native of Louisville, KY, Rachel graduated from Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business with a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment Industry Studies and a minor in Mass Communication. When not at work, you will most likely find her cheering on the Bruins at a sporting event with her three favorite guys: her husband Zach and their two boys, Maddox and Leo.
