Biography

Sydney Hood is an accomplished post-production professional and the current Facility Manager of the Johnson Center for the Curb College, where she plays a key role in managing production workflows and maintaining operational excellence across the facilities. With a background spanning over thirteen years in post-production, Sydney has honed a diverse skill set that includes editing, color grading, imaging, and quality control; she brings a wealth of expertise to every project she oversees.
Before stepping into her current role, Sydney made significant contributions to Paramount’s post-production team from 2016 to 2023. During her tenure, she held several pivotal roles, including Lead Assistant Editor and Colorist, she was responsible for refining visual assets and managing high-profile projects, maintaining the quality and integrity of final outputs. Her expertise in digital workflows, particularly her role in building and streamlining the Premiere workflow for the Nashville office, has been instrumental in improving efficiency and fostering collaboration across departments.
In addition to her hands-on work in post-production, Sydney has a strong passion for education. Since 2022, she has served as an instructor at Belmont University, where she teaches a course on file/project management, workflows, and post-production techniques. Through her teaching, she shares her knowledge of industry workflows and technical skills with aspiring filmmakers, helping them prepare for successful careers in the film and media industries. 
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, with a Concentration in Editing, from Watkins College of Art, Design & Film. She is known for her ability to combine technical proficiency with a creative eye, problem-solving, and her dedication to advancing both her craft and her students’ professional growth.
