Biography
Dr. Tracy Frame joined Belmont University's College of Pharmacy faculty in 2014, later transitioning to the College of Medicine in 2022, and ultimately assuming the role of Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice in 2024. She obtained her degree from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL, followed by an ASHP-Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System in Denver, Colorado. Subsequently, she took on the role of patient care clinical manager with Kroger, Inc, based in Cincinnati, OH. Transitioning to academia, she joined Cedarville University in 2011 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, later moving to Belmont University.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Frame has been deeply engaged in teaching various courses, including pathophysiology and therapeutics, health assessment, women’s health, self-care, and substance use disorders. Over the span of 14 years, she has been instrumental in the development of clinical pharmacy services and in fostering interprofessional practice across diverse settings including community pharmacies, a federally qualified health center, a home health care center, and a substance use treatment facility.
Collaborating with colleagues at Belmont, Dr. Frame has contributed to organizing multiple interprofessional education events annually for students, including mission trips to Cambodia and Kenya, which she holds dear to her heart. Her expertise and research focus encompasses substance use, women’s health, global health, wellness, spirituality, and interprofessional education and practice. Dr. Frame holds an appointment in the College of Medicine and the College of Health Sciences & Pharmacy as Associate Professor.
