First-time exam takers earned 93.41 percent passage rate
Belmont College of Law earned the top spot for the July 2023 Bar Exam among all Tennessee schools, based on bar passage results recently released by the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners. 93.4 percent of Belmont’s first-time test takers earned a passing score.
“A commitment to the practice of law from our students and the faculty and staff who support their education and development has earned favorable merits for this incredible class of graduates,” Belmont Law Dean Alberto Gonzales said. “We are very proud of our graduates. I look forward to seeing the positive impact each one will make as they move forward in their respective practices.”
The College of Law is committed to the whole-person formation of its students and alumni, providing opportunities for students to lead and excel outside of the traditional classroom environment as well. Over $12,000 in legal services were donated last year by Belmont law students participating in expungement clinics serving the community, and the Belmont Law Review recently hosted 73 local attorneys for a successful annual law symposium.
