Belmont USA in Hollywood
Belmont USA in Hollywood is a summer work opportunity where selected Motion Pictures or Movie and Television Writing students can apply classroom learning to specific career goals in the Motion Pictures industry.
Belmont USA in Hollywood also serves as an immersion experience within the motion pictures industry. Interns gain practical skills in state-of-the-art technical facilities and are exposed to the expertise of renowned producers, directors, screenwriters, cinematographers & agents.
Program Curriculum
You will take the Belmont in Hollywood internship course, which can be one - three credit hours. You will register for this course and it requires:
- Attendance at the How to Land your Dream Internship – Belmont in Hollywood edition workshop
- The ten-week internship program in Los Angeles
- Participation in the eight-week Belmont in Hollywood Mentorship program
- Attendance at all weekly Belmont USA in Hollywood guest speaker events.
A selection of Belmont general education courses will also be available online, including: Third Year Writing, Religion Junior Cornerstone.

Program Details
Belmont USA in Hollywood allows you to have one or two Internships. Belmont USA in Hollywood will do our best to secure you an internship, but it is a shared responsibility. Our assistance is predicated on your punctually turning in the required deliverables.

Are You Eligible to Apply?
In order to be eligible for study in Belmont in Hollywood, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Motion Pictures or Movie and Television Writing major
- Complete at least 64 credit hours and be of junior standing by the start of the program
- Be in good academic, financial, and disciplinary standing at the time of application AND when the program starts
- Have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative institutional grade point average at time of application AND at start of program
- Students on academic or disciplinary probation cannot participate in Belmont in Hollywood, even if such probation occurs after acceptance to the program
- Students who become ineligible after acceptance for any of the above reasons MUST pay the program fee balance
Selection Process
- Academic performance, professional experience, maturity and overall preparedness for the program are considered in the selection process.
- Students not meeting minimum qualifications and/or with prior academic or non-academic infractions may be eliminated from the application pool.

Housing
You will be housed in double occupancy rooms at AVA Toluca Hills in Los Angeles which is located less than 4 miles from Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Disney Animation, and other major studios.
You can expect to be placed in furnished apartment living that includes a living area, dining area, kitchen, 2 or 3 bedrooms with 2 people in each room, and a private bathroom attached to each bedroom. Apartments are fully furnished (bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, etc) and laundry facilities are onsite.
Enjoy loads of amenities such as workout facilities, onsite retail and a swimming pool.
Transportation
In LA, you are required to have access to a car for daily transportation. You may bring your own, ship your car or rent a car.
