Housing and Food Costs

Housing and Food costs, including travel expenses for fieldwork placements, are not included in the estimated cost of attendance above. The university does not provide dedicated graduate housing. Housing and transportation expenses will vary depending on individual preferences and fieldwork placements. The estimates below are based on the 37212 zip code. 

Average Per Bedroom Rent (per month): $1,680 (single) - $3,000 (four)

Average Food Cost (per month): $466 - $733

Health Insurance

Graduate health insurance is not included in the estimated cost of attendance above. It can be waived with proof of alternate coverage. Rates may increase yearly. The health insurance rate is based on $5,354 for the 24-25 academic year as new rates have not been posted. Cost is billed half in the fall and half in the spring. 

 


Financial Aid

To determine your eligibility for any financial aid, graduate students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available online and should be completed each year. Complete and return the FAFSA by the February 15 priority date.

Belmont will start the financial aid awarding process in late-February and will continue through out the spring semester. Once all the forms are received, your file will be reviewed.
