Congratulations to the graduating class of December 2016!
Belmont University held its December 2016 commencement ceremony for graduate and undergraduate students at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 in the Curb Event Center. The University celebrated the graduation of 401 students. Conferred degrees included 339 bachelor’s, 59 master’s and 3 doctoral degrees.
Dr. Robert C. Fisher, president of the University, presided over the event. Dr. Marieta Velikova, associate professor of economics, presented the commencement address.
Velikova is the 2015-2016 Chaney Distinguished Professor recipient, a title awarded for each year to the faculty member who best represents the University’s vision to be “a premier teaching institution."
