Health Clinic Fees & Insurance
There are no office-visit fees for clinic visits, but students may be charged for some medications, laboratory testing, office procedures and medical supplies. Payment for these charges is due at check out from the appointment and can be paid by credit or debit card, some HSA/FSA cards, check or cash. Health Services is not able to put charges on student accounts.
Immunizations and prescriptions can be filed to health insurance through the Campus Pharmacy. You can find details scheduling the immunizations HERE. Health Services does not file health insurance for medical care other than the UHC graduate student health insurance plan. Students may print a Clinic Visit Statement from their Health Portal to submit to their insurance to determine reimbursement eligibility.
Belmont University requires all students to have medical insurance that covers costs for emergencies and off-campus physician services. Students should verify their coverage for hospitals and providers in Tennessee and carry their insurance card with them at all times.
Belmont does not offer a student insurance plan for undergraduate students. If the student is not covered under their parent’s insurance, more information about insurance in Tennessee can be found at these websites:
Graduate student insurance is available through United HealthCare. All graduate students must either opt in or waive the insurance policy. For more information contact studentinsurance@belmont.edu.
Health insurance can be filed for all students by the Belmont Pharmacy for prescriptions.
