O'More College of Architecture & Design

Celebrate 25 years of the O'More College Fashion Show

On Saturday, April 26 The O’More College of Architecture and Design will present their annual Fashion Show in the Curb Event Center at 7:30 p.m  a highly-anticipated event where a rigorous Fashion Design education culminates in an impressive showcase of collections as diverse as the student designers who create them.

The Show is produced by our talented merchandising students in Fashion Event Management, and is a launching pad for emerging designers, providing an up-close look at original work that is innovative in terms of style and technical execution.

The juniors were challenged with creating human-centered design capsules, and seniors have been immersed in their year-long research and execution of work.  The evening will include a reveal of collections where students drew inspiration from art history, film, personal life experiences, eras of fashion, and the positive impact that thoughtful design solutions can make in the lives of individuals.

In addition to providing an education that prepares graduates to compete successfully in the demanding fashion industry, we also believe in the transformational power of design.  We have partnered with multiple nonprofit organizations from GiGi’s Playhouse to CreatiVets, Daybreak Arts, Tennessee Donor Services, and Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee.  As we celebrate the past 25 years of our in-person Fashion Show, O’More is going back to our roots and partnering with Saddle Up! located in Franklin, Tennessee.

The mission of Saddle Up! is to provide children and youth with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through therapeutic, educational and recreational activities with horses (saddleupnashville.org).  The juniors were paired with a student at the nonprofit, and by developing a relationship with them first, the students began to better understand their pairing’s needs in equestrian wear that accommodates their individual challenges as a rider.  Our new friends will grace the runway with their custom garments designed by our talented students.

Join us for an incredible evening of beauty, artistry, craftsmanship and care for others at this momentous year.

Models walk down a brightly lit runway at a fashion show, with the student designer waving to the audience. The venue is dimly lit except for the stage lights overhead, which highlight the models and their outfits. Two large screens on either side of the runway display a live feed of the show. The audience, seated along both sides of the runway, watches and applauds.
