Designing with Purpose

We are pleased to continue our mission-based service initiatives that were launched in 2017 at our Franklin campus. Our program prepares graduates to compete successfully in the demanding fashion industry, AND at its heart is the transformational power of design. We have partnered with multiple nonprofit organizations, including Saddle Up!, GiGi’s Playhouse to CreatiVets, Daybreak Arts, Tennessee Donor Services and Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee. As we celebrate our in-person Fashion show, O’More has partnered with Move Inclusive Dance for this years' service-based design initiative.

 Move Inclusive Dance is a dance studio that empowers individuals of all ability levels to learn life skills through dance. They use the power of movement and music to transform their students’ lives while providing a nurturing, inviting community for all.

The juniors were paired with a dance student at Move Inclusive Dance, and by developing a relationship with them first, the design students began to better understand everyone's needs for their dancewear. Our new friends will grace the runway with their custom garments designed by our talented students.
