Dr. Erin Behnen joined Belmont University College of Pharmacy in 2018 as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assessment and Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Behnen came to Belmont from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) where she served as Assistant Provost for Academic Innovation and Effectiveness. Prior to her position in the Provost’s Office, she served as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Pharmacy at SIUE. Dr. Behnen had been at SIUE since 2005, when she was hired to create and direct the SIUE Drug Information & Wellness Center and later also served as Assessment Coordinator for the School.
Dr. Behnen completed a drug information specialty residency at The University of Tennessee (UT) in Memphis. During that time she also gained experience at the Southern Poison Center and UT Family Medicine Clinic. She remained at UT as a faculty member before her appointment at SIUE. Dr. Behnen earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist, has served as an officer for the Drug Information Practice and Research Network through the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and is a Fellow of the Academic Leadership Fellows Program through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.

Dr. Hope Campbell joined the Belmont faculty in August 2010. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica where she majored in Chemistry and minored in Biochemistry and Zoology. In 1993 she was awarded the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland, in Baltimore Maryland. She completed an ASHP accredited residency training in Pharmaceutical Care at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. For the next 17 years Dr Campbell remained at Vanderbilt serving as a Clinical Research Pharmacist. She served as the coordinator of the Investigational Drug Service, clinical pharmacist for the Infectious Disease-HIV service and administrator for pharmacy continuing education. As an Adjunct Professor of the University of Tennessee she served a preceptor for University of Tennessee School of Pharmacy, third and fourth year students. In addition she served as preceptor for residents in the Pharmacy Practice Residency program at Vanderbilt.
Dr Campbell’s practice focus is Internal Medicine, with an interest in HIV pharmacotherapy. As Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Campbell teaches courses related to clinical science and practice, such as Pathophysiology and Therapeutics and Health Assessment. Dr. Campbell currently serves as the clinical pharmacist at Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital, where she supports the Family Medicine service. Her practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum.

Dr. Tavajay Campbell joined the Belmont faculty in the summer of 2019. He graduated cum laude from Cornell University and Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Doctor of Pharmacy, respectively. After graduation he completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY then moved to Nashville to complete an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency with Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Campbell’s area of specialty is ambulatory care. He serves as a co-instructor in the Therapeutic Case Studies course for students in their third year of the pharmacy curriculum. He also serves as co-instructor for the Health Assessment course for first-year pharmacy students. Dr. Campbell has a practice site at St. Thomas Medical Partner South Clinic where he serves a predominantly Spanish-speaking population providing diabetes education and management under a collaborative practice agreement. Dr. Campbell’s professional interests includes international missions, innovative teaching strategies, and population health.

Dr. Angela Clauson joined the Belmont faculty during the summer of 2014. She graduated from the University of Tennessee-Memphis College of Pharmacy. She then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care and psychiatric pharmacy at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. After completing her residency, she became clinical coordinator at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She has also worked for Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens pharmacy.
As Director of Experiential Education, she is responsible for coordinating the different Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences that the students participate in throughout the curriculum.
Her interests within the realm of pharmacy include pharmacy leadership and management, and pharmacy care for the underserved.

Dr. Fernando Diggs joined the Belmont faculty in the summer of 2019. Originally from Atlanta, GA, he initially received his AA and AS in Chemistry and Biology from Nashville State Community College before earning his BA from the Trevecca Nazarene University in Management and Human Relations. After the completion of his pre-pharmacy course work, he attended Belmont University College of Pharmacy for his Doctorate of Pharmacy training graduating in 2016. Dr. Diggs completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, as well as an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. Prior to joining the faculty at Belmont, Dr. Diggs worked as a clinical pharmacy specialist in a conjoined Surgical and Coronary Critical Care unit at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. During his time as a resident and a specialist, he was a preceptor for students on Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences students from the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University. Dr. Diggs became a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) in 2017.
As an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Diggs’ specialty area is in critical care. He teaches student pharmacists in the third year of the pharmacy curriculum where he serves as a co-instructor in Pathophysiology & Therapeutics IV and the Therapeutic Case Studies series. He also teaches critical care-related topics as well as an elective in Critical Care in the fall semester. His research interests include infectious disease, nutrition in the critically ill patient, and medical emergency response. Outside of work, Dr. Diggs enjoys playing tennis, cheering for Vanderbilt Commodores sports teams, and fellowshipping with his brothers of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc.

Upon completion of her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Dr. Ficzere pursued specialty training by completing a Drug Information Residency at Samford University. For the next seven years, Dr. Ficzere was a Drug Information Specialist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In this role, her responsibilities included the following: responding to information requests from other health care professionals and the public, evaluating medications and medication classes for formulary status, writing and editing newsletter articles, precepting students and residents, and advising residents on research projects. After moving to Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Ficzere practiced at Saint Thomas Hospital as a Clinical Specialist in Anticoagulation for four years. While at Saint Thomas, Dr. Ficzere also provided resident education, assisted residents with research projects, and assisted with the drug information needs of the pharmacy department.
Dr. Ficzere was the founding Director of Drug Information Services for the Belmont University College of Pharmacy and established the Christy Houston Drug Information Center, built the pharmacy-related library collection, and developed drug information and literature evaluation curricula for the college. In June 2014, Dr. Ficzere became the Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Department. Dr. Ficzere continues to teach Introduction to Drug Information and Informatics, Biomedical Literature for Pharmacy, and didactic electives in medication safety and formulary management. Dr. Ficzere also serves on a variety of college and university committees, maintains board certification in pharmacotherapy, and is an active member of several national professional organizations. Additionally, Dr. Ficzere continues her commitment to post-graduate residency training by serving as the preceptor for the drug Information rotation for St. Thomas West’s pharmacy practice residency. Dr. Ficzere currently teaches in the following courses: Pharmaceutical Care I, Self-Care Therapeutics, IPPE IV Seminar, and IPPE V. Dr. Tracy Frame joined the Belmont faculty during the summer of 2014. She graduated cum laude from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. Following graduation, she completed an ASHP-Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System in Denver, Colorado. After completing her residency, she became a patient care clinical manager with Kroger, Inc, in Cincinnati, OH. She then joined the faculty at Cedarville University in 2011 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and developed clinical pharmacy services at a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Springfield, OH.
As an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Frame teaches in the Pathophysiology and Therapeutics series, Health Assessment and a Women’s Health elective course. Dr. Frame has established a practice site at The Next Door, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving women impacted by addiction, mental illness, trauma and/or incarceration. She works with the medical team there which provides medically-monitored detoxification, acute medical care, chronic disease management and educational groups. This practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Frame also has a huge passion for missions and is involved in missions both locally and globally in underserved areas. Her areas of research include substance use, women’s health and student wellness and spirituality.

Dr. Montgomery Green is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Belmont University College of Pharmacy and has been on faculty there since the fall of 2010. Dr. Green’s specialty area is internal medicine with a focus in Antimicrobial Stewardship. She serves as the course coordinator for Pathophysiology and Therapeutics II where she teaches a portion of the Infectious Disease lectures and for Therapeutics Case Studies I. She also teaches an elective in Antimicrobial Stewardship for second and third year pharmacy students.
Dr. Green has established an internal medicine practice site at Williamson Medical Center where she works in conjunction with the hospitalist physician group and serves as the pharmacy chair for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. Williamson Medical Center is a small, community hospital in Franklin, Tennessee. The Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Williamson Medical Center was selected to be highlighted in the Pew Charitable Trust’s report “A Path to Better Antibiotic Stewardship in Inpatient Settings” as part of a case series with 9 other ASPs from around the country.
Dr. Green's practice site serves as an Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience site in General Medicine for student pharmacists in their fourth year of course work. Dr. Green has also been involved in the development of a post-graduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy residency program at Williamson Medical Center. She serves as the preceptor for the Internal Medicine, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Internal Medicine-Precepting focused rotations for the PGY1 residents.
Dr. Green is a graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Green completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, North Carolina and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. She completed the Society of Infectious Disease Pharmacists’ Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program in 2013.

Dr. Elisa Greene joined the Belmont faculty in 2011. After graduating with high honors from Auburn University and the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Dr. Greene completed an ASHP –accredited pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care and a teaching certificate program at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Dr. Greene is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and has completed the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Teaching Certificate Program.
Dr. Greene teaches primarily in the Pathophysiology/Therapeutics and Pharmaceutical Care sequences. In addition to guest lecturing on a variety of ambulatory care related topics, the Landmark Clinical Trials and Cross-Cultural Communication electives are areas of special interest. She provides clinical pharmacy services at Siloam Health, a non-profit family medicine center offering whole-person care to serve the needs of those who have fallen through the cracks in the traditional healthcare system. This collaborative, interdisciplinary practice serves as a site for student pharmacists completing ambulatory care and missions Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences to provide culturally-sensitive care to patients from over 80 different language and ethnic groups. Dr. Greene enjoys collaborations with the Tennessee Associations of Professional/Medical Interpreters developed through shared work at Siloam Health.

Dr. David Gregory was named Dean of the College of Pharmacy in late 2017 and began his duties early in 2018. Dr. Gregory came to Belmont from the University of Mississippi where he served as an associate dean in the School of Pharmacy, At Ole Miss, Dr. Gregory’s responsibilities included leadership of approximately 800 students in both the pre-professional and professional degree programs along with strategic and visionary planning in the ongoing development of policies, programs, curriculum and clinical practice that align with the educational mission of the School.
Dr. Gregory earned a bachelor’s of science and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi. Prior to joining Ole Miss in 2013, he spent a significant portion of his career in Nashville with positions of increasing responsibility with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. From 2008-2013, he served as VUMC’s director of pharmacy for education, drug policy, research and clinical pharmacy services within the Department of Pharmaceutical Services. During his time in Nashville, Dr. Gregory also contributed time to the Belmont College of Pharmacy External Advisory Committee.
In addition to his professional duties, Dr. Gregory also currently serves as an accreditation surveyor for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Workforce and Education Council. Dr. Amy Henneman joined the Belmont faculty in the fall of 2020 as an Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice. She completed a B.S. in biology at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA and graduated magna cum laude from the Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU) School of Pharmacy in West Palm Beach, FL. Following graduation, she completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. After completing residency, Dr. Henneman returned to PBAU as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice maintaining a practice site in ambulatory care with an emphasis on the care of underserved patient populations. Dr. Henneman was the PGY1 residency program director from 2014 – 2020 and founding director of the PGY2 ambulatory care residency from 2018 - 2020. She also coordinated the resident teaching and learning curriculum within the School of Pharmacy. Additionally, Dr. Henneman obtained more than $130,000 in grant funding to increase medication access to underserved populations in Palm Beach County, FL. While at PBAU, Dr. Henneman taught various topics in disease prevention and endocrine pharmacotherapy including osteoporosis, diabetes, women’s health, and renal disease. Dr. Henneman is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Dr. Henneman is active in both the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
As an Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Henneman teaches student pharmacists in the second and third year of the pharmacy curriculum where she serves as co-instructor in Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience IV (IPPE IV) and Pharmaceutical Care III. She also teaches an elective in Ambulatory Care. Dr. Phillip H. Lee joined the Belmont faculty in the fall of 2015. He is originally from Nashville and completed a B.B.A. at Lambuth University. After spending a few years in sales and finance, Dr. Lee returned to school and completed his PharmD from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Following graduation, he completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at The University of Tennessee Medical Center and then an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Residency in Internal Medicine with a focus in Academia at the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy at East Tennessee State University. After completing his residency, Dr. Lee began his faculty career at the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University as an Assistant Clinical Professor. While at Auburn, Dr. Lee coordinated the skills lab courses in the third professional year and maintained a practice in Internal Medicine at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

Dr. Michael McGuire joined the Belmont University College of Pharmacy faculty in August of 2012. He graduated cum laude from the Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. Following graduation, Dr. McGuire completed an ASHP-Accredited Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice residency at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. After completing his residency training, Dr. McGuire joined the faculty at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and maintained a practice site at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. McGuire then joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Neuroscience Medical Science Liaison and subsequently held multiple positions within Bristol-Myers Squibb US Medical Affairs.
As an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Psychiatry, Dr. McGuire teaches psychiatric pharmacotherapy in Pathophysiology and Therapeutics III. He also teaches in the Therapeutic Case Studies I and II series as well as an Advanced Psychiatry elective course. Dr. McGuire maintains an active practice site at Rolling Hills Hospital in Franklin, TN where he serves as a clinical pharmacist and precepts Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience students in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum.

Dr. Adam Pace received his Pharm.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 2007. While pursuing his degree, Dr. Pace was involved in Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity and was a member of St. Anthony Hall. He served as the founding president of the Ole Miss student chapter of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. He also graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning the Master of Divinity degree in 2013. He currents serves as a bivocational pastor at Harvest Fields Baptist Church in Pegram, TN.
Dr. Pace has spent his career in community pharmacy. He began working as a staff pharmacist for Walgreens after graduation. He served as Pharmacy Manager with Walgreens immediately before coming to Belmont. He now serves as Pharmacy Manager of the Health Services Pharmacy located in McWhorter Hall.
He serves as a preceptor for Belmont students on rotation in the pharmacy. In the classroom, he teaches Self-Care Therapeutics and Advanced Non-Sterile Compounding. He provides guest lectures in several courses on community pharmacy topics. He precepts students on a global missions experience in Honduras with the Honduras Baptist Medical Dental Mission.

Dr. Jarod Parrish graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and began his pharmacy career working as a Community Pharmacist at Target Pharmacy where he quickly assumed the role of Pharmacy Manager and served as preceptor for introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences. He most recently served as Clinical Research Pharmacist for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research grant addressing health disparities for African American males at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
As Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Parrish’s specialty area is in Population Health and Hypertension. He serves as co-instructor in Therapeutics Case Studies for third year Pharmacy students. Dr. Parrish has a Pharmacy Practice site at Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network (VHAN) working with the Population Health/Medication Management team where he provides chronic care management services and helps develop strategy and clinical pharmacy programs. He also teaches a Population Health elective in the fall semester. His research interest are focused on health communication in chronic conditions.

Dr. Traci Poole joined the faculty of the College of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice in August 2010. She is a 2009 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy in Richmond, VA. Upon graduation, Dr. Poole completed an ASHP/APhA-accredited pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in community care at VCU School of Pharmacy and Kmart Pharmacy. She also served in several roles at the VCU School of Pharmacy including co-preceptor for students on introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences, clinical instructor in pharmacy practice laboratories, and guest lecturer in the Self-Medication courses.
Dr Poole is a board certified as an ambulatory care and geriatric pharmacist with a primary practice focus of geriatric internal medicine and developing clinical services within innovative health care models. Her other areas of particular interest and expertise include immunizations, medication therapy management, and self-care. She has an established practice site at Apothecary, an independent community pharmacy, located in the Gulch area of downtown Nashville. Her practice site serves as an advanced pharmacy practice experience site for fourth year student pharmacists in community-based medication management, community pharmacy, and management.
As Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Poole teaches second and third year student pharmacists in PHM 6200: Self-Care Therapeutics, PHM 6530: Business and Entrepreneurial Management, and PHM 6335: Pharmaceutical Care III. She currently serves as the college’s coordinator for the American Pharmacists Association’s certificate program in medication therapy management and is faculty for the immunization certificate program. Dr. Poole has great interest in the advocacy of the profession and is actively involved in the Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and National Community Pharmacists Association. She currently serves as the faculty advisor to the Belmont Student Pharmacists Alliance, TPA’s Society of Student Pharmacists and APhA’s Academy of Student Pharmacists.

Dr. Kristy Wahaib joined the Belmont faculty during the summer of 2010. She is a graduate of Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Indianapolis, Indiana. Following graduation Dr. Wahaib completed an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri as well as an ASHP-accredited Specialty Residency in Internal Medicine with University Medical Center Brackenridge and The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. She served in several roles with The University of Texas College of Pharmacy, including co-precepting students on Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences, serving as facilitator for weekly Pharmacotherapy Lab and guest lecturing. Dr. Wahaib became a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) in 2012.
As Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Wahaib teaches courses related to clinical science, such as Pathophysiology and Therapeutics and Therapeutic Case Studies. Additionally, she offers an elective course in Cardiology each spring semester. Dr. Wahaib’s practice focus is Internal Medicine, with a strong interest in Cardiology and Infectious Diseases. She has established a practice site at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she rounds with the Internal Medicine service and provides direct patient care on a daily basis. Her practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum.
