Welcome Week 2025
Welcome Week takes place from August 16-19, 2025. All Welcome Week events are mandatory for all new students: transfers and first-year students. Parents and Guests are encouraged to attend the Saturday night and Sunday morning Welcome Week events.
At Welcome Week check-in, all new students and guests will receive a Welcome Week schedule. While the schedule for 2025 is still tentative, take a look at the schedule from 2024 below and get ready to experience Belmont’s Towering Traditions Welcome Week.
Parents & Guests at Welcome Week
Many parents and family members assist their students as they move into their on-campus housing. Parents and family members are invited to attend the following Welcome Week events: the Welcome Week Dinner, the Welcome Week Opening Session, the Sunday Worship Service, and the Matriculation Ceremony. These events will take place on Saturday night and Sunday morning during Welcome Week. We do ask parents to make travel plans to leave campus by 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 17. For students moving in on Thursday or Friday, we have your nighttime plans covered! Join us for Bruin Bash happening on the main lawn Thursday and Friday night from 7:30-9 p.m. This is a student only event. Students – come grab your free Belmont T–shirt at this event.
KICK OFF DINNER | Students & Guests | 5:00-6:00 pm | Grand Maddox Atrium/Curb Event Center
Enjoy a complimentary dinner with your fellow classmates and their families. The Belmont community will be bustling with live music and great food!

Join the Orientation Council, Belmont faculty/staff, and Tower Team Leaders as you learn more about the amazing journey you are about to begin moving in on Friday afternoon and Saturday
TOWER JAM PART II : MEET YOUR TT GROUP | Students Only | 7:45-9:15 pm | Main Lawn
At this time, students will meet their TT Group. Each TT Group consists of 15-25 new students and is led by 2-3 Tower Team Leaders (upperclassman). Jump in on this un and get connected to your Bruin Community.
CATHOLIC MASS | 9:30-10:30 pm | Janet Ayers Academic Center University Chapel
Catholic Mass will be held in the University Chapel and is open to anyone wishing to participate.
WORSHIP SERVICE | Students & Guests 8:45-9:30 am | Curb Event Center
Begin your Sunday Towering Traditions experience with a time of worship and celebration. This meaningful time of song, prayer, scripture reading and short meditation from our University Minister sets the tone for the academic year. All are welcome for this time of reflection and celebration.
MATRICULATION SERVICE | Students & Guests | 9:45-10:30 am | Curb Event Center
Each year, Belmont University welcomes its new students with a Matriculation Ceremony to signify their acceptance into the school’s academic program.
GUEST DISMISSAL | 10:30-11 am | Curb Event Center
At this time, we start our student-only portion of Welcome Week. Parents and guests, we ask you to plan travel accordingly and leave campus by 11 a.m., allowing your student to fully participate in Welcome Week.
