Transfer Welcome Options

We realize everyone’s journey to Belmont is unique.  Transfer students, specifically, enter Belmont with individual hopes and needs. To best orient transfer students to Belmont, we offer two unique Transfer Welcome tracks. All transfer students must select one Transfer Welcome track to attend. See details below on each option followed by instructions on how to make your Transfer Welcome selection: 

Transfer Welcome Day

Transfer Welcome Day is a one-day Welcome Session focused on essential transfer specific information. All sessions are aimed at helping transfers successfully start at Belmont. Transfer Welcome Day includes: meeting your academic college; key transfer student information sessions, and a campus tour. 

Date: Monday, August 17 | 9:00am-4:30pm 

Designed for: 

• Students who can only attend one day of Welcome Week due to work or outside commitments; 
• Commuter students who are unable to drive back and forth to campus over the four-day Welcome Week experience;  
• Non-Traditional Students who need the logistical details regarding starting classes at Belmont; 
• Students only wanting the true essentials of starting at Belmont.  

Transfer Welcome Week

Transfer Welcome Week is a four-day Welcome Week designed to connect transfer students with Belmont’s unforgettable Towering Traditions experience. The Transfer Welcome Week includes the Towering Traditions signature events for all incoming students. However, transfer students will be placed in transfer specific orientation groups (TT groups) to experience the excitement of Welcome Week together. This connection filled four-day track provides a launching point for transfer students looking to make the most of their Belmont journey.  

Dates: August 15-18

Designed for:  

• Students looking to meet and connect with other transfer students and current student leaders to jump start their community and connections at Belmont. Transfer students will be put into transfer TT groups led by 2-3 upperclassmen.  
• Students living on campus or students commuting to campus who are desiring to get connected to campus life. 
• Students looking to explore Nashville. We will offer a Nashville excursion free for transfer students selecting to attend the Transfer Welcome Week session.  
• Students looking to jump start their Well Core Requirements (a graduate requirement). Students can receive up to 5 Well Core credits for attending the Transfer Welcome Week experience. 
• Students desiring the full Welcome Week experience including social events, impactful main sessions, nighttime activities, and breakout opportunities for connections. 

Making a selection: 

During Summer Orientation, transfer students will be given a link to select their Welcome experience of choice. For questions, email us at orientation@belmont.edu.
