Study Abroad & Away

Study Abroad

Faculty in the College of Sciences & Mathematics highly encourage students to participate in Study Abroad opportunities. This is a fantastic chance for students to earn credit towards their degree while experiencing a new part of the world. Faculty from the College of Sciences & Mathematics lead Maymester trips across the globe from various countries in Europe including Iceland, the United Kingdom, and nations on the Mediterranean sea, Asian countries such as China, India, and Japan, experiences in South Africa and Ghana on the African continent, Australia, and trips to South America and Central America. Find your program here.

Belmont USA in Oregon

The Belmont USA in Oregon trip provides students with a fantastic opportunity to study a forest’s recovery from heavy deforestation. This is an immersive experience in sustainability where students have the chance to live and work on a farm and discover the natural areas of the west coast including the desert, the ocean, and the mountains. More information on this opportunity can be found here.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)s are opportunities funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) that provide students with the chance to gain hands on experience conducting research on a team at R-1 universities. Find an REU site here.
