Pathway 4
Embrace hope and inclusive excellence to help reweave the social fabric.
Pathway 4 must begin with a thorough and thoughtful examination of the past, reflecting on areas where imbalance and inequality have persisted. Only with this acknowledgement can we move forward, remaining accountable as we learn along the way. Belmont is intent on taking actionable steps towards diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, until all these principles are interwoven in everything we do and produce as a University. It's incumbent upon all of us to ensure all members of our community feel comfortable, embraced, welcomed and invite to bring their whole selves to this institution on a daily basis. This is illustrated through the 100 KINGS Program, which has been housed on our campus for over a decade, where high school students are given the opportunity to envision themselves in college and develop the skills necessary for thriving in an collegiate setting.
