Failure to comply with this policy or to cooperate with FitRec staff may result in further investigation and action by the appropriate campus department.

Theft

Fitness & Recreation assumes no responsibility for personal items in the fitness center. All patrons are encouraged to secure their own possessions in the locker rooms and can obtain a free lock from the BID to do so while using the fitness center. In the event of theft, Fitness & Recreation staff members will file an incident report and call the Office of Campus Security. Once security has been notified, the patron should follow-up with security on the progress of the investigation.

Lost and found

Fitness and Recreation is not responsible for patrons’ personal items.  If items are found or turned into a FitRec staff member, the items will be documented and stored onsite for two weeks before disposal.

Bluetooth speakers are permitted for use in the Rec Gym and Group Fitness Room only and volume must be kept at a reasonable level with music that is appropriate and does not contain explicit language. If music violates these expectations, students will need to wear headphones or may be asked to turn it off. Other audio/visual media is prohibited unless authorized by FitRec Directors.
